Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Policy

At DoItUrself, we are passionate about digital creativity, self-help, and the power of AI to help people learn, build, and grow. Because we utilize and discuss AI-generated content, tools, and user-submitted ideas, we deeply respect intellectual property rights—and we expect our community to do the same.

In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond quickly to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used on our website in a way that constitutes infringement, please let us know by following the steps below.

Before You File a Notice

Please keep in mind that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages. If you are unsure whether the material on our site infringes your copyright, we kindly suggest contacting an attorney before submitting a formal notice.

Additionally, much of our content involves artificial intelligence. If the material in question is an AI-generated piece that simply resembles your work but was independently generated, it may not legally constitute copyright infringement.

How to File a Copyright Infringement Notice

To file a formal DMCA claim with DoItUrself, please send a written communication through our contact page that includes the following information:

 1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

 2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., a link to your original work or a detailed description).

 3. Identification of the infringing material on our site that you want removed, including the exact URL(s) so we can locate it instantly.

 4. Your contact information, including your name, physical address, telephone number, and email address.

 5. A statement of good faith: "I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."

 6. A statement of accuracy: "The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."

Please send this notice via email to:

Our Response Process

Once we receive a valid, complete DMCA notice, our team at DoItUrself will:

 * Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material promptly.

 * Notify the user or creator who posted the material, giving them the opportunity to file a counter-notification if they believe a mistake was made.

Counter-Notification Process

If your content was removed but you believe it was done so by mistake (for example, if you have the proper license or the content falls under Fair Use), you may send us a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include your signature, identification of the removed material, your contact info, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.

Repeat Infringer Policy

DoItUrself terminates the accounts or access of users who are repeatedly found to be intentional copyright infringers.
